It was hard to score at the Women’s PGA Championship and hard to watch as Tommy Fleetwood collapsed on 18 on the PGA Tour this weekend.

Meanwhile lets just say that we are proud Dylan Rayburn contributed a whooping 43 entries.

It was a winning score just under par played in incredibly difficult conditions. In short, it was a US Open at Oakmont. After a brutal start that included one of the worst breaks you will see, where a 95 yard wedge hit the pin and rolled back 49 yards instead of settling in close for a birdie look, JJ Spaun came out of the weather delay on a tear.
It’s peak season over here at Leading Edge with a busy fitting schedule and all kinds of regrips and repairs filling up the shop. We hope you are all getting plenty of rounds in with this great weather. Remember our Trackman Indoor Optimized simulators are available for booking year round if your round gets rained out or if you’d rather practice in our air conditioned facility!
Hopefully you all had a nice Victoria Day weekend where the longstanding Calgary tradition of planning golf and camping and then cancelling it due to rain or snow was certainly upheld.
For those of us that stayed inside on Sunday we saw Scottie Scheffler make it rain in the final round of the PGA Championship.
Happy Monday, everyone. Hopefully you were able to get some golf in this weekend before this unfortunate, if needed, rainy day today. Days like today are a good one to remind our customers that we have indoor launch monitors available for booking to get your swings in while staying dry.
What a Sunday at Augusta. In one of the most memorable and exciting final rounds in recent Major Championship history, Rory McIlroy fended off the competition and his own internal demons to finally complete the career Grand Slam at the Masters. In a lot of ways the final round was a microcosm of Rory’s career. He began by blowing the lead he had built with an indifferent start.

I missed the game last night, does anyone know who didn’t win?
What a scene on Sunday at the Travelers. I would really like to know what was running through Scottie Scheffler’s mind when the police were running toward him on 18 on Sunday to arrest protesters who had stormed the green. Luckily, this time Scottie wasn’t arrested and went on to win the tournament on the first playoff hole over Tom Kim. For those counting at home, that makes six wins before July 1 for Scottie. That’s….pretty good.
