Leading Edge Golf Weekly Roundup – 3/31

(Click here for the full, media-rich version of this newsletter on leadingedgegolf.ca)

Hello friends.  After a bit of a hiatus last year our newsletter is back for the 2025 season.  We hope you enjoy hearing from us on Monday mornings and we love to share what’s happening at our facility with our customers.  Remember, we moved last year from our old location to 3416 – 114 Ave SE!

It has been a very busy start to the season for us.  As a fully indoor facility now we are able to offer club fittings in a controlled environment and it is showing up on our busy appointment sheet.  Our 2025 club models are now all in stock so there is no reason to wait for warmer weather for your fitting and by ordering now you will have a longer season with your new clubs.  We also offer practice time on our Trackman Indoor Optimized launch monitors which can be booked by calling us at 403-640-0082.

On tour this week, Min Woo Lee (aka, Dr. Chipinski) held off Scottie Scheffler and Gary Woodland to take home the Houston Open.  It was Min Woo’s first win on tour and he seems to be coming in to his own after a successful TGL season.  It’s amazing to see the ballspeed he can generate and we hope he can parlay this win into some sustained success.  Next up is the Texas Open which marks the final Tour event before the Masters.

Performance Training at Leading Edge Golf

The shift to our new facility has opened up new opportunities for us to help our clients play their best.  We now offer both traditional lessons and performance training using a host of leading edge technology (see what I did there?).  Tune up your game for 2025 with a lesson program with Coach Robert Penner (TPI Level 2 Certified, Smart 2 Move Certified, Sportsbox 3D motion capture certified).  For those looking for more than a swing change, we offer fitness and performance training with Coach Penner or our Director of Performance, Jason Zubac.  We also offer sessions using our Smart 2 Move 3D Motion capture force plates where clients can learn how they apply force to the ground during their swing and where they can improve to add speed and efficiency to their golf swing.  This technology is getting a lot of traction and we are one of the few facilities in Western Canada that offers it.
