Leading Edge Golf Weekly Roundup – 6/10
(Click here for the full, media-rich version of this newsletter on leadingedgegolf.ca)
Hey everyone, hope you had a great weekend and you were able to enjoy the lovely, if somewhat smoky, weather.
It was a playoff finish at the Canadian Open this year as Ryan Fox took down Sam Burns on the 4th extra hole. One interesting wrinkle was, in a PGA Tour first, the pin location was switched from back left to front right in the middle of the playoff. It was also great seeing local products and friends of the shop Wes Heffernan and Hunter Thomson in the field this year. What would also be great to see is a Canadian Open held in Western Canada but instead it will just be at TPC Toronto forever!
Next up is the US Open at Oakmont starting on Thursday which should be a ton of fun given the quality of the golf course. Too bad Scottie Scheffler will probably win by five strokes as usual.
