Ted & Dave’s February Newsletter
Hey Everyone, it’s been a while! We have lots to share so I won’t spend too much time in the preamble this time. We hope your winter has gone well (that is to say, quickly) so far and it’s been fun to start seeing more of you around the shop as we approach the golf season. We’ve started to receive our new fitting stock for this year (see below) and we have enjoyed getting to know these new products as well as getting them in our customers’ hands in the fitting bay. New Putting Mat
This winter we installed a new Fiberbuilt putting mat in our showroom. It has a bit more space, three sunken holes, and runs at a nice speed. Call us to book your putter fitting today!
Club Refinishing with Cerakote
We are really excited about this. We are now able to offer club refinishing using Cerakote. Cerakote is an extremely durable, ceramic based finish that is often used on firearms but is increasing being used for golf club refinishing and customization. We can then use G Paint to repaint any lettering, logos, etc in order to create a really unique and personal look. Pricing varies based on the type of club and the desired look, so give us a call to find out more!
Metal Hardness Testing
Back in November, Jeff from Met Tech Calgary dropped by with his ultrasonic hardness testing device to help us check the hardness of various club faces. It was cool for us to see how different metals and fabrication processes resulted in different hardness readings. We love doing things like this where we independently test the products that we fit you for!
Wedge Press
We now have a hydraulic press for us to use for stamping wedges. It allows us to be very precise with the depth of our stamps which creates consistent results for our customers. We also added a new set of symbol stamps so come and see how we can personalize your wedges.
