Summer is great and all, but September sure makes the transition to fall a little easier with PGA Tour playoffs, the Ryder Cup, playoff races in MLB (let's go Jays!), and the return of NFL and college football.  Playing golf until 9:30 PM is still better but this is a workable consolation prize.

It was hard to score at the Women's PGA Championship and hard to watch as Tommy Fleetwood collapsed on 18 on the PGA Tour this weekend.

It was a winning score just under par played in incredibly difficult conditions.  In short, it was a US Open at Oakmont.  After a brutal start that included one of the worst breaks you will see, where a 95 yard wedge hit the pin and rolled back 49 yards instead of settling in close for a birdie look, JJ Spaun came out of the weather delay on a tear.
