Leading Edge Golf Weekly Roundup – 3/11
Well, what a difference a week makes. We went from a deep freeze last weekend to spring temperatures and daylight savings time. In the shop we have restocked our grip wall and received our fitting heads for PING i530 and G 730 irons as well as our Never Compromise Putter fitting set. Things are starting to feel a little different out there and we can’t wait for the golf season.
On the PGA Tour, Scottie Scheffler listened to Rory’s advice to try a mallet putter and immediately proceeded to dust the field at Bay Hill. Scottie was exceptional this week, leading the field in strokes gained: off the tee, around the green, and total strokes gained. The takeaway? When Scottie putts, Scottie wins.
On the LPGA Tour, Bailey Tardy rolled to a four shot lead at the Blue Bay LPGA. Canadian Savannah Grewal finished in fourth.
