It’s kinda hard to think about golf season after that blast of winter this weekend but the forecast is looking good for next weekend so get your fitting appointments booked now! As annoying as all that snow was, given that Southern Alberta is staring down a drought this year any extra snowpack we get now will be most welcome later this summer. With that said, it’s now March, and we could be playing before the end of the month so now’s a good time to change your grips, have your lofts and lies checked, or have any repair work done so you are ready to roll when courses open.
The PGA Tour had some weather to deal with too as Sunday’s final round at the Cognizant in Florida was delayed to this morning. Austin Eckroat pulled it out for his first win on tour in his 50th start.
On the LPGA Tour, Hannah Green won the HSBC Women’s World Championship in Singapore with a birdie on the 18th hole.

Golf folk hero Anthony Kim resurfaced from a mysterious ten year absence to play in the LIV event this weekend. It didn’t exactly go well and he ended up finishing 33 strokes back of the leader.
Erik Van Rooyen was absolutely vibing yesterday, going 8 under through 10 holes before weather delayed his back nine until later in the day. After coming back from the delay he was stuck in neutral and finished at 8 under for the day. Ouch.
